Seam allowance - 10 mm. Center seam allowance can be finished using an overlock or french seam. Leg cut can be finish with a rolled hem using an overlock or edgestitched finish on a sewing machine.

If using an overlock, reduce the allowances of the central seams to 7 mm and cut off the seam allowance of the leg cut.

The instructions show processing without using an overlock.

The width of the belt can be changed depending on the width of the elastic used. In the pattern, this value is 1.5 cm.

Added ease - 2 cm.

3. Connect the parts right sides together and stitch 5 mm away from edge.
4. Press the allowance on one side.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 with two back pieces.

6. Connect three pieces together: the gusset lining, the front and the outer gusset, so that the stitching seam in the finished form is between the inner and outer gussets. To do this, put the front and outer gusset rights sides together, and the inner gusset is folded face to the wrong side of the front of the shorts. Lay a line with an allowance of 10 mm.

7. Fold the inner gusset, the back of the shorts and the outer gusset so that the finished seam is between the inner and outer gussets. To do this, the back and outer gusset are folded face to face, and the inner gusset is folded face to the wrong side of the back of the shorts. Roll up the back and front of the underpants for a comfortable fit and sew with a 10mm seam allowance.

8. Press the gusset seams. Trim the seam allowance corners.

9. Bend the bottom edge to the wrong side by 7 mm and stitch at a distance of 2 mm from the folded edge. Trim the allowance to 3 mm and press.
10. Bend the allowance a second time and stitch, trying to get into the first line.

11. Connect the front and back along the waistline matching the notches and stitch an auxiliary line at a distance of 5 mm from the edge.

12. Sew the belt along the side seams into a ring. Press the allowances.

13. Connect the waistband with the right side to the wrong side of the knickers and stitch at 10 mm distance, leaving 2 cm hole for elastic. Press the allowance towards the belt.

14. Press the free cut of the belt by 10 mm. Sew at a distance of 1-2 mm from the fold of the cut.

15. Iron the knickers.
16. Thread the elastic into the waistband and stitch the hole.
